This past weekend, we took a road trip to Las Vegas with my parents to visit Keith & see the new house he's building. We had a great time seeing a few sights & hanging out with him. His house is going up fast & should be finished in May. Keith gave us a tour of the site & we scoped out where we can stay next time we visit.We toured the Neon Boneyard, a non profit organization has saved old Vegas hotel signs & you can wander through them and hear all about the scandalous history of LV.
I had a blast taking pictures of the signs & making my various family members stand in front of them for pics! That evening we watched the light show at the Fremont Street Experience a few times while people watching ;) The kids were invited into the firetruck that was parked in front of the Four Queens casino -- the firemen were there taking pictures with tourists, apparently it was a slow night.On Sunday we walked on the strip a little to see the pirate ships, shopped at the Fashion Show mall with mom & then took the kids to Excalibur for the Tournament of Kings dinner show. Of course, we had to leave a little money on the craps table & slot machines before leaving on Monday.
It was a fun trip & one we need to do more often, since it is only 6 hrs away!
