We received our first snow of the season on Sunday -- of course, right? It was Labor Day Weekend, so in comes the crazy weather after months of dry sunny heat! That evening, Bill and I were up at Deer Valley for an outdoor concert -- Bob Dylan. We were prepared for the 50 degree weather and brought food, wine and a tarp, which came in handy during the downpour in the last half hour of the concert. Luckily, we weren't at a high enough elevation to get snow there!
On Monday afternoon, Bill and I took the boys and Cocoa up Millcreek Canyon to search for snow. We did find a little bit hiding under shady trees, enough for a few snowballs. The boys tested out their new snowboots and took a short hike. It always feels great to be up in a beautiful canyon!
