The Chicago Dog... we always head straight for one when we land in Chicago. There really is a hot dog under all of that...
A Chicago-style hot dog (sometimes referred to as a "Chicago Dog") is a steamed or boiled all-beef, natural-casing hot dog on a poppy seed bun which is thought to have originated in the U.S. city of Chicago, Illinois. The hot dog is topped with mustard, onion, sweet pickle relish (usually neon green), a dill pickle spear, tomato slices or wedges, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt; but never ketchup. It is taboo to put ketchup on a Chicago hot dog; there are actually some small hot dog shops and stands that will refuse to provide service if the customer makes the request.
p.s. I always ask Bill to get me ketchup... he loves me.

My friends Angie & Jenni drove down from Green Bay to hang out with the boys and I in Chicago while Bill attended a conference for work. We stayed in Lincoln Park, and enjoyed hotel breakfasts with the kids, shopping, good food, staying up late and just being our goofy selves. The boys did suprisingly well shopping with us for 2 days, and we treated them to a fun dinner at the Rainforest Cafe -- Great Idea Ang! I really miss these two and it was really great to have the opportunity to see them!
