Ski Lessons

Sunday was a beautiful winter day with sunshine and temps in the 40's. Bill offered to watch the twins so I could ski! I haven't been on the mountain for over 2 years, and I was so excited to have the chance to get on the hill.

Noah, Grandma and I went to Alta to ski, and for Noah's first ski lesson. Noah asked on the drive up the canyon "are we skiing down THIS mountain?". I'm sure it looked awfully huge to him, but we reassured him that he'd be on the bunny hill and that the instructors would make it fun.

After each run, mom and I stopped to watch some of Noah's lesson. He looked great! He had the "pizza & french fries" techniques down. We watched him ski down a small slope by himself, and then a larger one -- the instructor had a hula hoop around his waist to keep him from getting away. His favorite part of skiing was getting to ride the "magic carpet" conveyor belt up the bunny hill.
We hope to keep the lessons going, and someday have him on the slopes with us. I hope he loves it as much as I do.
