Hopetown, Bahamas

The Elbow Reef Lighthouse on Hopetown is one of the last manually run lighthouses in the world, burning kerosene oil with a wick and mantle.

The stairway going up...

You had to crawl out this hole at the top - it was only about 3 ft high!  Note the door handles are little hands.

The very secure safety netting.

Looking up into the glass

On our last day in the Bahamas, we took a ferry to Hopetown.  There are so many islands in the Abacos, and they all have so much to see & do.
