6 Years Old

Today our little Noah turned six!
I can't believe it!
It was a day of "Noah's choice". He started off the day with his request of french toast ~ yum! He and the boys had swimming lessons (more pics to come on that later) and he jumped off the diving board twice to celebrate. He picked the place to get our lunch, and we ate it at Sugarhouse park. Then it was back home to get the twins down for a nap before Grandma & Grandpa came over for dinner and to open presents. Noah & I cleaned out his room -- I know that doesn't sound like a fun birthday thing to do, but I convinced him that he would want his desk cleared for new building toys to come. After cleaning his room, I gave him his first gift, Automoblox minis - a set of 3 cars that have interchangeable parts. Noah LOVED them. He really loves to use his imagination to build things. He has his dad's engineering mind!

Bill came home from work and started the secret assembly of Noah's Kettler Pedal Car. When it was ready, we brought Noah to the garage where it was parked (with a new pirate hat on the seat). His smile was HUGE! It was funny, he did NOT know what to say!
He opened a few of his other gifts including the tin train set pictured. It came from the coolest online store http://www.tintoyarcade.com/.

Dinner was Noah's choice -- cheese pizza with black olives and butterscotch pudding for dessert. Grandma made peanut butter cookies and wrote Happy Birthday Noah in chocolate frosting!

Noah opened his gifts from Grandma & Grandpa and immediately started creating models with the new K'nex set they gave him. What is this child going to be when he grows up?? He is really good at building from directions as well as from his imagination. He blew us away with a swing ride like one you would see at an amusement park.
Bill said he would like a set of K'nex for his birthday too :P
Sometime over the weekend, we'll be breaking out the 500 piece King Arthur lego castle... wish us luck!
