Leader of the Day

On Wednesday, Noah was Leader of the Day in his class. His responsibilities were to bring a healthy snack for the class, a show and tell, and a book to read. Throughout the day, he then leads the class when they go to the gym or to their specialty classrooms and rings their bell to start new activities. He was so excited to be Leader of the Day, he couldn't wait to get to school and he was just beaming with pride walking in to school and telling his auntie Lisa (a director at the school) all about it.
I was able to sneak in and watch Miss Jessica reading his book, and see him present his show and tell which was his new Pirates of the Caribbean projection clock. He proudly showed the class how it projects the clock image onto the wall. The children get to ask him a question or say something about it. Most of the questions were "Where did you get your clock?" or statements of "I like your clock". Noah went into detail about how his "daddy bought poptarts because he likes poptarts at the grocery store and cut out 8 tokens from the cardboard boxes and sent them in the mail for the clock". Then the questions became more about the poptarts.
It was great to see Noah confidently speaking in front of his peers. He really likes his classmates and teachers. His closest friends at school are Ella, Miles, & Moira.
