Mother's Day

I believe this is our 4th year camping in Fruita for Mother's Day weekend. How it happened that Bill gets an incredible mountain biking adventure with his biking buddies every Mother's Day weekend is still a mystery, but we as a family have a fun time as well so he is forgiven. This year, Noah took to the trails with his new Marin mountain bike. He loves to ride with Bill.

The twins were ecstatic that they got to go along to Moon Farm this year (they were napping through last year's discovery of it by Bill and only Noah got to go and brag about it for a year). It was everything they dreamed of and more... live bunnies??!!

Moon Farm has A LOT of fun things for kids to climb on and play in. It's a hodge podge collection of things from around the world, including this Viking ship, an Egyptian pyramid and more. We spent an afternoon exploring and the kids had a blast!

The Fruita desert is beautiful. We generally camp in the same area every year, but this year we scored an actual campsite with a pit toilet! This was quite an improvement from a shovel. It is Mother's Day weekend after all...
