Camping in Fruita, CO

Mother's Day weekend we drove 4 hrs to Fruita, CO for a camping/ mountain biking trip. Fruita is a fun little town on the edge of the Colorado National Monument and 15 miles down the hwy is Grand Junction on the other side of the Monument. We set up camp on 18 mile road near some of Bill's favorite biking trails, with our friends the Clarks, the Gilberts, Dave W., and a schoolmate of Noah's & his dad. The guys had a great time riding! Toni, Genevieve and I handled our toddlers (Hannah & Rosie and my twins) and Noah and his buddy Adam -- by taking them to the local dinosaur museum and just letting them play in the abundant sand. As far as the little ones knew, we'd camped in a large sandbox! This is our new cabin tent... at 13x9ft it is sort of like a new condo! haha! Let's just say it's big enough for our family of 5 and all the gear & crazyness that involves.
The boys are loving our camping trips & sleep well in the tent. Mommy on the other hand would appreciate an air mattress, but we'll see what we can fit in the van next time.
